Australian gambling regulator strengthens block of illegal betting sites

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has blocked more illegal gambling sites that breach existing legislation.
Since the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 came into force, the AMCA has been vigilant about stamping out any form of unlicensed or unregulated gambling.
ACMA blocks illegal sites
The ACMA diligently notifies internet service providers of prohibited internet gambling content, ensuring transparency and adherence to procedures specified in an industry code or industry practice set out in the Gambling Act.
The most recent sites to be shut out are:

Jogi Casino
Dundee Slots
Lucky Hunter
Lucky Wins
Lukki Casino
Spin Fever
Clubhouse Casino
Winport Casino

The Regulator will block sites if they threaten the safety of Australians who enjoy wagering online. Some online sites can face unseen threats to an individual’s online security. Their unregulated nature can lead to issues like the lack of wagering limits and timeouts that can harm users when placing bets.
If a site looks unregulated, the AMCA has created a credited list of approved sites and operators that match the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 requirements.
Operators in Australia need to have a valid license to promote advertisements for the list of permitted gambling methods. For example, Australia doesn’t allow in-play gambling as a standard.
Late last year, some of the biggest online betting heavyweights were sanctioned. The controllers of Ladbrokes, Neds, bet365, and Sportsbet have all been found guilty of non-compliance with interactive gambling rules.
In Australia, gamblers cannot place a bet during an event unless this is conducted and placed via phone. The AMCA found that bettors were using the web-based applications of all of these operators to place bets and then call to confirm the in-play wager.
The regulator cracked down on the major players in gambling, asking for a revision of practices and online security methods to prohibit this banned form of wagering.
AMCA legacy of blocking content

Since the first website block by the AMCA in 2019, there have been 975 sites shut out, and over 220 illegal or unregulated operators have fled the online gambling scene in the land down under.
Safer gambling has recently been a key topic for the Australian Government. We reported on the Responsible Wagering Australia (RWA), and the Australian Federal Parliament worked in tandem to ban the ability to fund online betting via credit cards.
The AMCA is a serious entity that enforces strict policies and approved gambling methods to protect Australians when they wager online.

OpenAI and News Corp sign major deal to boost ChatGPT

OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) company behind the world’s most popular chatbot ChatGPT, has announced a major multi-year partnership with media titan News Corp.
The deal, rumored to be worth $250 million over five years, grants OpenAI unprecedented access to a vast repository of journalistic content from the Wall Street Journal and New York Post owner’s huge portfolio of media brands.
News comes to ChatGPT
The deal will allow OpenAI to surface content from the Murdoch family-owned giant in response to user queries on ChatGPT.
Moreover, the American tech firm will harness News Corp’s immense database of articles to train and refine its AI models, with the aim of enhancing the performance and capabilities of ChatGPT and its other offerings.
Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our partnership with News Corp is a proud moment for journalism and technology. We greatly value News Corp’s history as a leader in reporting breaking news around the world, and are excited to enhance our users’ access to its high-quality reporting.”
News Corp chief Robert Thomson hailed the deal as a “historic agreement” that will “set new standards for veracity, for virtue, and for value in the digital age.” This partnership comes at a time when companies at the forefront of generative AI technology are increasingly seeking formal agreements with publishers to sidestep legal and copyright issues when using content to train their AI models.
News organizations adapt to AI
If you can’t beat them, join them. Anticipating the growing trend of people using AI chatbots for more and more services, like news, media organizations have begun to work with AI companies to ensure they are not left behind.
The worry among news execs is that if people only need to ask an AI chatbot what the main stories are of the day and no longer need to visit their websites then their revenue will be hit substantially. We’ve already seen this month Google’s move towards being a one-stop shop for all your inquiries as it begins to surface AI-generated results.
OpenAI’s landmark deal with News Corp follows in the footsteps of similar agreements with the Financial Times, Axel Springer, and the Associated Press. Google, a big competitor to OpenAI in the generative AI arena, has also secured deals with News Corp and Reddit to access their content for AI training purposes.
As part of these partnerships, tech firms often develop AI-powered products and features that publishers then integrate into their platforms to help train large language models (LLM) making them smarter and more up-to-date on world events.

Can you unlock Wuthering Waves FPS? 120 FPS option explained

Even though a game like Wuthering Waves isn’t the most demanding of titles, since it has only just launched, many are experiencing some graphical hiccups and issues with FPS. Because of this, a lot of players are looking for an FPS unlock solution so that they can get the smoothest gameplay possible.
Here, we’ll run you through the possibility of unlocking your FPS in Wuthering Waves as well as what the situation is with the highly requested 120 FPS option.
Wuthering Waves 120 FPS explained
Wuthering Waves did have a 120 FPS option when it launched in a beta state, allowing you to get that buttery smooth gameplay experience. Unfortunately, though, this was removed for the full release since the “game is known to occasionally glitch in 120 fps mode on the PC.”
This message was sent from the devs themselves in the game’s official Discord server, much to the disappointment of eager fans of the game.
The saving grace here though is that in that same message, they noted that they “will inform you when this feature is available in future updates”, meaning that it is on the horizon.
Can you increase Wuthering Waves FPS?

Since Wuthering Waves is only limited to 60 FPS in the menus at this current time, there’s no way to actually increase it in-game. However, with a separate program and some tweaking, you can achieve something that makes the game have ‘120 FPS’
The program we’re talking about here is Lossless Scaling and can be acquired through Steam. It is a paid release but will only set you back around $6, and can be used across multiple games if you wish.
Once you’ve got this installed, you can utilize different options such as Draw FPS which will change up your game and enhance FPS without needing to alter any raw game files.
If you follow the steps shown in the below YouTube video, you’ll be good to go:

BONK Price Pumps 30% as dogwitfhat (WIF) Lags – Best Solana Meme Coins to Invest In Now

The cryptocurrency market is cooling off over the past two days following positive Ethereum ETF news, and we aren’t seeing much price action.
However, meme coins are always an interesting topic, and BONK’s price has pumped over 30% this week, threatening to surpass dogwitfhat (WIF) as the biggest Solana meme coin in terms of market capitalization. Let’s dig in.
BONK Price Analysis – BONK Price Prediction
The BONK Price is up over 30% this week and trading around $0.000034. This Solana meme coin is now very close to its all-time high set in March this year at around $0.000037. Its market cap has swelled to $2.3 billion.
CryptoBoss, an analyst with over 160k followers on X, tweeted that he expects BONK to pump “much higher” and based on his chart analysis, he set the next price target at around $0.000048, representing a potential upside of over 40% from the current price.

$BONK Update: higher, much higher 📈 https://t.co/tyUVoEtf8D pic.twitter.com/IekW589tYJ
— CryptoBoss (@CryptoBoss1984) May 23, 2024

Regarding the technical analysis, the MACD line is above the MACD signal line, indicating bullish momentum. The RSI is at 52, suggesting the asset is neither overbought nor oversold.
The 99bitcoins YouTube channel with over 700k subscribers posted a video about BONK, highlighting that the rise of meme coins like BONK is indicative of a bullish market. They noted that the BONK price is performing well in the last few days, suggesting growing investor confidence. BONK’s bullish momentum started after finding support around the $0.0000215 mark, and it has since risen significantly since.
BONK has surpassed its 50-day exponential moving average on the 4-hour timeframe, and a bull flag continuation pattern is forming on the daily BONK chart, indicating potential for further gains. Based on this analysis, BONK could potentially reach $0.000045-$0.000050 in the near term.
Meanwhile, dogwitfhat (WIF), another popular Solana meme coin, barely moved this week, so BONK outperformed it. However, BONK still has some catching up to do if it wants to become the biggest Solana meme coin, as WIF’s market cap is still around $3 billion.
Best Solana Meme Coins to Buy Right Now
In the same video, 99bitcoins highlighted two promising Solana meme coins to consider investing in. The Sealana presale is performing excellently, nearing a $3 million milestone. This is an increase from its initial daily figures of $25,000 to $50,000, now reaching $250,000 per day. The rapid growth in presale activity highlights effective marketing and growing interest for this new meme coin on Solana.

Dogeverse is another meme coin to watch, as it is accessible and tradable on multiple platforms, including Ethereum, BNB, Matic, Avalanche, and Solana. Big investments are being made in Dogeverse, with single purchases exceeding $190,000, indicating a pretty strong interest from large investors (whales).
Notably, the Dogeverse website experienced accessibility issues, but the team quickly addressed and resolved these within a few hours, demonstrating strong community engagement and transparency.
Conclusion
All in all, the BONK price has surged this week, outperforming other Solana meme coins like WIF. While BONK’s price prediction looks promising, with potential targets around $0.000045-$0.000050, it still trails WIF in terms of market capitalization. Investors interested in Solana meme coins should also consider the promising presales of Sealana and Dogeverse.

Wuthering Waves – How to use the Sensor

Right from the off in Wuthering Waves, you may find yourself caught out when you need to use a specific piece of equipment to continue, but don’t seem to get the information on where it might be. That equipment is the Sensor, and if you haven’t managed to find and use it yet, then this will help you get over this early obstacle with the minimum of fuss.
How to use the Sensor to confirm the patrol route
In Chapter 1: Huangling 1 you will be given a mission quest where you need to confirm a patrol route and find a Detection Beacon. This is where the guidance is missing and you are now left to your own devices, and it seems it’s catching an awful lot of Withering Wabes players out who now find they do not know what to do next. This early on in the game this is frustrating, but don’t give up. It’s simple when you know how.
After you have spoken to the Midnight Ranger the sensor will become unlocked for you for the rest of the game. And you now need to equip it.
If you are playing on a PC, hit the Tab key, or if on mobile or console the key that is used to bring up your Utility Menu.
On the wheel that appears you are looking for the eye that will appear on the left-hand side which you now need to click on to equip the sensor to your character.
Now to use it press the T key on the PC or your grapple button on anything else and you will use your sensor which allows you to see a hologram. Follow this hologram and it will take you on through the rest of the mission.
Note that there is a short cool-down period between using the sensor so you can’t constantly spam it looking for the hologram to follow.
