New Meme Crypto ‘Dogecoin20’ Prepares for DOGE Day Launch After $10M Crypto Presale

Trending new meme coin ‘Dogecoin20’ (DOGE20) raised over $10 million in its crypto presale in late March, hitting its target amid the ongoing meme coin mania of Q1 2024.
With a limited number of tokens still available to be purchased prior to its IEO on Uniswap, the DOGE20 team has strategically chosen April 20th, 2024, as the claim date for their token, a date that holds a meaning for Dogecoin enthusiasts worldwide.
Dubbed “DOGE Day,” this date is a celebration of Doge culture and community, paying homage to the not-so-serious origins of Dogecoin and the iconic 420 meme.
Supporters of Dogecoin use this day to come together, share jokes, memes, and rally for the meme coin king. By aligning their launch with this date, Dogecoin20 aims to tap into the spirit of Doge culture and community.
What is Dogecoin20?
Dogecoin20 (DOGE20) is an ERC-20-based token that aims to be an upgraded version of Dogecoin, offering enhanced features and a new staking infrastructure for passive income.

Unlike Dogecoin, DOGE20 utilizes an eco-friendly proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, addressing concerns about the environmental impact of traditional mining.
With a maximum circulating supply of 140 billion tokens, DOGE20 aims to address the issue of infinite inflation dynamics present in Dogecoin. The project’s tokenomics structure includes various allocations, with 25% dedicated to the presale, 25% for marketing, 25% for the treasury, 15% for staking rewards, and 10% for DEX liquidity.
Staking Rewards
One of the key features of DOGE20 is its staking program, which allows holders to stake their tokens and earn passive rewards. The staking smart contract is programmed to distribute tokens to all stakers over a two-year period, providing sustained passive income opportunities for the community. As per DOGE20’s website, current staking rewards are over 60% APY.
Specifically, 15% of the total DOGE20 supply has been allocated towards staking rewards, with 12.5% being distributed in the first year to reward community members. This staking infrastructure aims to incentivize long-term holding and community engagement.
Marketing Efforts
Dogecoin20 has already gained traction in the meme coin and DOGE community, thanks to its approach and strategic marketing efforts.

Popular crypto YouTube channel 99Bitcoins, with over 700k subscribers, recently posted a bullish video about DOGE20, further fueling interest in the project.
Additionally, the DOGE20 team is conducting an extensive marketing campaign, advertising on multiple crypto and financial media sites such as Cointelegraph, CryptoSlate, and Business Insider.
This widespread promotion aims to raise awareness and attract a broader audience to this new meme coin project.
Last Chance to Buy
Due to the high demand, the $10 million hard cap for Dogecoin20’s presale was reached within one week. To accommodate late-stage entrants, the team announced a ‘Last Chance To Buy’ stage, offering a limited opportunity to participate before the token’s launch on exchanges.
The current price of DOGE20 is $0.00022 and you can buy it on the project’s website ahead of launch day with ETH, USDT or fiat currency.
Conclusion
While Dogecoin20’s presale success and community engagement are promising signs, the project’s true test will come when it launches on exchanges in April. The team’s ability to deliver on its promises, maintain the momentum, and capture the attention of a broader audience will ultimately determine its long-term success.
However, DOGE20 could potentially be a new project that meme coin investors might add to their respective watchlists.

US sportsbooks join forces to tackle problem gambling

Seven of the biggest gaming operators are coming together to form the Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA) at a time when America sees a sports betting boom.
Collectively, the companies account for more than 85% of the legal online betting market in the US and together have pledged more than $20 million to fund the association.
The new collaboration includes FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Penn Entertainment, Fanatics Betting & Gaming, Hard Rock Digital and bet365. All of these will work as one to promote evidence-based responsible gaming best practices and will share information to protect customers.
Executive Director of ROGA, Dr. Jennifer Shatley, shares how this will operate via a press release: “Many of America’s largest legal mobile gaming operators will be establishing a framework that helps to aid in responsible gaming education and awareness.
“Together, our members will work alongside researchers, experts, regulators and stakeholders to promote responsible online gaming and maximize our efforts to support additional responsible gaming education and awareness.
“By coming together with a clear set of objectives, ROGA and our members will work to enhance consumer protections and help provide easier and more efficient access to responsible gaming tools for consumers to enjoy the entertainment of online gaming.”
The members say an independent certification program will be created to assess efforts across operators. An evaluation of their responsible gaming policies and procedures will also come into action.
A data clearinghouse will be established too which will facilitate information sharing, to provide industry-wide protection of consumers.
America hones in on sports betting and online gambling
This announcement follows the expansion of online gambling into new states like North Carolina as the Supreme Court decided in 2018 to open the door for states to legalize sports betting.
Maryland is expected to be the next US state to legalize online casinos, with the Maryland House passing an iGaming authorization bill in March.
Revenue in the online gambling market is projected to reach $23.03bn in 2024, with an annual growth rate of 8.76%.

Google will need to destroy incognito browsing data

Google has committed to destroying or remediating ‘billions of data records’ collected through incognito browsing sessions as part of a proposed class action settlement filed Monday (April 1).
The lawsuit, originally filed in June of 2020, accuses the search giant of violating California privacy laws in collecting Incognito mode data.
In the proposed settlement in Brown v. Google, the technology company will have to rewrite the disclosure to inform users that private browsing data is collected from these sessions.
Plaintiffs have also demanded and ‘secured accountability and relief for Google’s past conduct.’ On approval of the settlement, the data records must be deleted or remediated.
For the next five years, Google must ‘also maintain a change to Incognito mode that enables Incognito users to block third-party cookies by default.’
Third-party cookies are small files that are tracked by websites other than the one you are on, connecting your browsing activity across different websites and allowing advertisers to run targeted ads.
The settlement must be approved by a judge and then the above changes will have to come into action.
“This settlement is a historic step in requiring dominant technology companies to be honest in their representations to users about how the companies collect and employ user data, and to delete and remediate data collected,” the filing, submitted by the plaintiffs’ attorneys, reads.
José Castañeda, a Google spokesperson, said: “We are pleased to settle this lawsuit, which we always believed was meritless,” the statement goes on: “The plaintiffs originally wanted $5 billion and are receiving zero.
“We never associate data with users when they use Incognito mode…We are happy to delete old technical data that was never associated with an individual and was never used for any form of personalization.”
Big Tech’s data problem
Google isn’t the first to come under fire for how data is handled, with Meta, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon all having been hit with data mismanagement lawsuits over the last few years.
It’s one of the reasons why concerns around TikTok have arisen, with worries the Chinese-owned company could collect sensitive user data of U.S. residents. TikTok has said they don’t hold U.S. data in China, but in Singapore and in the U.S. where it is routed through cloud infrastructure operated by the American company Oracle.

UK and US sign landmark AI safety agreement

The UK and the US have agreed on a first-of-its-kind agreement around AI safety, with a focus on security evaluations.
The two countries will work together to develop ‘robust’ methods for the evaluation of artificial intelligence (AI) safety and the models that make them up. The collaboration between the UK and the US is the first of its kind, marking an important development in the evolution of artificial intelligence.
UK tech minister Michelle Donelan described the agreement as “the defining technology challenge of our generation“.
“We have always been clear that ensuring the safe development of AI is a shared global issue,” she continued. “Only by working together can we address the technology’s risks head-on and harness its enormous potential to help us all live easier and healthier lives.”
Specifically, the agreement builds upon earlier commitments made at the AI Safety Summit held in Bletchley Park in November of last year. The event was attended by leaders in the field of AI, including OpenAI’s Sam Altman, Google DeepMind’s Demis Hassabis, and tech billionaire Elon Musk. It also saw both the UK and US create dedicated AI Safety Institutes, to evaluate the safety of both open and closed-source AI systems.
What are some of the concerns around AI safety?
The majority of AI tools currently used are what’s known as ‘narrow AI’, or tools that can complete simple tasks that could also be done by a human. However, the real safety concerns are centered around the advance of AI, where the technology could expand to take on more complex tasks, beyond data analysis or offering learned responses to prompts.
The goal of the agreement between the UK and the US is not to slow down the progress of AI but rather to make sure principles of AI safety are embedded within it as it grows. In particular, it’s important for AI companies to acknowledge that there’s the potential for human biases to become embedded within language models as they learn from us.

Starship Simulator continues to smash stretch goals with VR and shuttles now on the cards

We have covered the upcoming Starship Simulator a few times now since it entered its Kickstarter campaign and the ambition and desire of the people at Fleetyard Studios to create the ultimate space sim continues to garner support from gamers who want to see that goal realized.
Having initially passed its funding target in less than three days, Starship Simulator has now gone on to surpass the second of its stretch goals that will now bring with it Shuttles and Alien structures into the Early Access version of the game.
In an email sent to backers of the campaign, Fleetyard said: “Wow, you guys have done it again. In just 3 days we’ve cleared the next stretch goal, which brings both Shuttles and procedural Alien Structures into our Early Access release.
These are two important core systems because when combined they represent the ability for players to leave their own ship and explore a whole new location on foot. This is a critical step on the road to Planetary Landings, which is looking ever more likely if funding continues at its current pace!
With the VR goal already passed as the first stretch goal, we spoke to dev Dan Govier on what has been a whirlwind few weeks and asked him, now the game is funded, what his plans would be on the first day after the Kickstarter closes.
“I think I will probably sit back with a nice cup of Earl Grey and recover”, he told us before going on to say that after that the hard work on mapping out where to take the Early Access version of the game and how to achieve that.
When we spoke the VR stretch goal had been funded minutes earlier so we asked about how that would work, “In the next release we will have basic VR movement through the ship and you will be able to “teleport around” in the same way you do in other VR games. We want it to ultimately be much more than that though. It’s surprised us, just how many people have enquired about VR, there is a huge amount of interest in adding it”
At the time of writing it is looking as though the Kickstarter will comfortably pass the next stretch goal of Adding Planetary Landings, and with 17 days still to go, could go even further.
