Rumors rife that Fortnite might be about to get a God of War tie-in shortly

We know the age of Greek Mythology is coming to Fortnite and is going to last for a full season. So, do we know any other popular games that feature Greek Mythology heavily that could be ripe for a potential tie-in? No? Keep thinking. Oh, there is that hugely popular PlayStation God of War thing, and its immensely impressive lead Kratos. That might work.
While sometimes Fortnite leakers and data miners go the extra mile to bring us news of what may be upcoming in our favorite Battle Royale. Sometimes it seems as though you just need to put two and two together to come up with a high-probability event.
In a new survey, Fortnite X legen Shiina has suggested that having noted Epic Games have been asking in a new survey if there was any player interest in God of War, more particularly (2005) God of War, and therefore suggests that there is interest in bringing Young Kratos to the island.
In a post on X Shiina said, “In a new survey, Epic Games mentioned “(2005) God of War”

These surveys often include upcoming collabs, so if Epic plans to add Young Kratos to Fortnite, there really is no better time than to add him in a Greek Mythology season

As Shiina says, Epic often includes potential collaborations in its player surveys either to judge fan opinion (skins have to sell after all) or to tease upcoming events.
While there is no proof that Young Kratos is coming, it does seem to fit well and would seem to be a missed opportunity if he doesn’t appear during Chapter 5 Season 2
We already have rumors of a Last Airbender event on the horizon as well, so keeping up with all these leaks can be a full-time job.

Gen Z are turning to ChatGPT for career advice

Gen Z employees are seeking support from the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT as they navigate their first few years in the professional world.
This generation is one of the fastest-growing ages in the workforce, but they’re said to have little faith in and poor experience with their higher-ups.
Employees born between 1997 and 2012 say they get better career advice from friends and family, Google, social media, and AI. Almost half (47%) said they prefer to turn to ChatGPT, as managers ‘don’t care about their career development,’ a report by INTOO and Workplace Intelligence has found.
Other commonly reported issues with managers are that they’re ‘more focused on their own career’ and ‘they don’t know how to help’ with role development. A significant, 62% of participants say they’d like to talk to their manager more often about their career, but their manager is too busy.
These young adults are seeking further support from companies, but are asking for more than what learning and development teams are currently offering. 80% of employees think employers should offer self-paced learning courses, while only 49% of companies have this on their radar.
With the expectation of available opportunities to help people advance in their careers not being met, HR professionals are predicting a quarter of employees are likely to quit within the next six months due to a lack of support for their careers. This figure rises to 44% when speaking about Gen Z.
How managers can support Generation Z
As more teenagers and twenty-somethings enter the workforce, HR consultants are urging current managers to remember that every person has different needs.
Speaking with CNBC, Stacie Haller chief career advisor at Resume Builder explains the steps to be taken: “When new employees enter the company, there should be a conversation with them about what their aspirations may be, what their long-term goals are. It should be built into their onboarding.”
Mentorship programs are another recommendation to help guide workers throughout their journey in the corporate world.

Bitcoin price surges beyond $65,000 as records beckon

Bitcoin has reached a two-year high today (Monday 4 March) as it jumped to above $65,000 in the early hours in Europe.
Monday (Mar. 4) has seen the price rise to $65,537 which is the crypto asset’s highest level since late 2021 when its all-time record of $68,999.99 was reached.
This substantial increase represents a 300% change since Bitcoin crashed to $15,000 after the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.
Over the last few weeks, the currency has reached new peaks in various places in local terms, including in financially robust countries like China, Japan, UK, and India, as well as in emerging markets like Argentina, Turkey, and Egypt.
Most of this rise is said to have been seen this year, with U.S.-listed Bitcoin funds having surged in the last few weeks. Traders speaking with CoinDesk say ‘the asset is on the track to cross its lifetime highs of $69,000 in March.’
When what will happen after the Bitcoin Halving in 2024?
This is all happening ahead of the ‘halving’ which is to take place in April 2024 which happens roughly every four years (or 210,000 blocks) and sees the total number of bitcoin that miners can potentially win is halved. This last happened in May 2020, with the number of Bitcoins entering circulation dropped by half, going from 12.5 to 6.25.
Although no one knows what will happen after this event, there’s hope it’ll lead to a price increase. There have been three halving in total, occurring in 2012, 2016, and 2020.
In 2012, the price of Bitcoin started to rise shortly after the event took place. At the second one, in 2016, the price dropped by 10 percent but then went back to where it was before. At the last halving, bitcoin performed bullishly a full year after the event took place.

Alef Aeronautics: SpaceX backed firm has nearly 3,000 pre-orders for flying car

Back To The Future’s vision of flying cars whizzing through our skies is set to be made into reality as a two-seater ‘car’ has been pre-ordered by 2,850 people.
Alef Aeronautics, based out of San Mateo, California, hopes to start production on the first of its flying cars at the end of 2025. Known as the ‘Alef Model A,’ the car will weigh 850 pounds and have a cruise speed of 110 miles per hour while in the air. On the road, it will be limited to between 25 to 30 miles per hour.
Speaking to CNBC, CEO Jim Dukhovny said: “As of today we have a little bit more than 2,850 preorders with deposits down, which makes it the best-selling aircraft in history, more than Boeing, Airbus, Joby Aviation, and most of the eVOTLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles) combined.”
This model will be available to purchase at $300,000, with a deposit of just $150 to trigger a preorder.
The company has seen interest from the technology space and they’re backed by Tim Draper who invested in Tesla near the beginning and Elon Musk’s space exploration firm SpaceX.
Designed to look like an actual road car, the Alef Model A will then turn onto its side with the cockpit turned so that the driver continues facing forward once it begins to lift off.
Dukhovny hopes to have the first one up and running in a year: “If everything goes right, we plan to, and if we have enough funding, if the law is at least not going to be worse, it’s going to be existing as it is, we plan to start production of the first one by the end of 2025.”
How will Alef’s flying car look?

Happy 4th! Stay safe and rise above! #alef #alefaeronautics #alefaeronauticsinc #evtol #riseabove https://t.co/wU832CNFHI
— Alef Aeronautics Inc. (@AlefAeronautic) July 4, 2023

The two-seater vehicle will fit into a regular driving lane, parking space, and garage – just as any normal car. It will then have the ability to take off in the air vertically, with the driver and cabin being stabilized by a gimbaled rotating design.
The driver should be able to fly in any direction, with the aim being to ‘bypass the problematic areas on the ground, by flying over them.’
It’ll be 100% electric and will be classed as a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) with the assumption being that if a driver needs a faster route, they’ll use the flight capabilities.
